Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 August 2026

Short version: we collect very little, we show public blockchain data, and we don't sell your data or show you ads.

1What we collect

• Account. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Privy) gives us your login identifier: an email address, a social account handle, or a wallet address. Your passwords and wallet keys never reach us.
• Payments. If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We receive your email address, plan and subscription status — never your card number.
• Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested pages, timestamps) and anonymous page-performance timings your browser reports. We use them for debugging, capacity planning and abuse prevention, keep them for up to 90 days, then delete or aggregate them.
• Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, from which country, on which kind of device. Google sets its own cookies for this (see the Cookie Notice). You can block analytics with browser settings or a content blocker — the site works fully without it.
• Cookies. One functional session cookie that keeps you signed in, plus the Google Analytics cookies above. No advertising or retargeting cookies. Details in the Cookie Notice.
• Things you save or type. Watchlists and interface preferences (stored with your account or in your browser), and questions you send to AI features.

2Blockchain data

Compass indexes public Hyperliquid blockchain data, including wallet addresses and their trading history. This data is public by design and is not collected from you. We do not attempt to link addresses to real-world identities. If a page concerns your address and you believe something shown is wrong, email us.

3AI features

Questions you send to the chat and AI-generated trader summaries are processed via Anthropic's API under its commercial terms (your inputs are not used to train their models). Please don't paste sensitive personal information into the chat.

4How we use data

To run the Service, sign you in, bill subscriptions, fix bugs and performance issues, understand aggregate usage, and prevent abuse. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract and legitimate interests. We don't build advertising profiles, don't sell data, and don't send marketing you didn't ask for.

5Who we share with

Only the processors needed to run the Service: Privy (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI features), Google (analytics) and our hosting provider Hetzner (servers in Germany, EU). Beyond that — only if the law genuinely requires it.

6Your rights

Email hello@compass.trade to access, correct, export or delete your account data. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the rights provided by GDPR, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

7Security and retention

HTTPS everywhere, signed HttpOnly session cookies, encrypted backups, minimal access. Account data is kept while your account exists; logs as described in Section 1.

8Children

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18.

9Changes

Updates will be posted on this page; material changes will be announced on the site.
