Terms of Service

1What Compass is
Compass (compass.trade — "Compass", "we") is an analytics service. We index publicly available data from the Hyperliquid blockchain and present statistics, rankings, charts and research about trading activity (the "Service"). The Service is informational only.
2What Compass is not
Compass is not an exchange, a broker, an investment adviser or a portfolio manager. You cannot place, route or execute trades through Compass, and we never take custody of your funds or private keys. Compass is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Hyperliquid.
3No investment advice
Nothing on the Service — metrics, rankings, labels, AI-generated summaries, research articles or anything else — is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to follow any trader or to open any position. Trading leveraged derivatives carries a high risk of losing your capital. Any decision you make based on the Service is yours alone.
4Data accuracy
Our numbers are derived from public blockchain data and exchange APIs using our own methodology. Data may be delayed, incomplete or simply wrong, and methodologies evolve. Metrics on Compass can differ from those shown by exchanges or other services. Everything is provided "as is", with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability.
5About the traders shown
Wallet addresses and their activity displayed on Compass are public on-chain information. Showing an address is not an endorsement of whoever controls it. Our labels and tags (for example, tags describing where an account's balance growth comes from) are statements about observable flows of funds on a public ledger — not claims about anyone's identity, intent or conduct.
6Accounts
You can sign in with an email address, a social login or a crypto wallet. You are responsible for activity under your account and must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 8.
7Paid subscriptions
Some features (for example, programmatic/API access) may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; the price and billing period are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Except where the law gives you a mandatory refund right, payments are non-refundable — but if something went wrong, email us and we will try to sort it out. We may change prices with notice before your next renewal.
8Acceptable use
You agree not to: attack, overload or probe the Service; circumvent rate limits or access controls; scrape at volumes that degrade the Service for others; resell or republish our metrics or content as your own; or use the Service for unlawful purposes.
9Intellectual property
The Service — its design, code, texts and computed metrics — belongs to us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. Raw blockchain data itself is public and belongs to no one.
10Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11Changes and termination
We may change or discontinue features of the Service, and we may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site; continued use after a change means you accept it.
